Feadship Academy equips crews with the knowledge to maintain luxury materials and become true experts in caring for their Feadship.

The yachting industry continues to evolve, with Feadship vessels becoming larger and more technologically advanced. The Feadship Academy is dedicated to preparing crew members for the future expectations of their roles by connecting them with in-house experts. These courses provide essential knowledge and best practices, particularly regarding commonly used materials such as teak, marble, glass, stainless steel, and paint. By completing the program, crew members will become Feadship experts, equipped to maintain the highest standards of excellence.

Just as a captain requires a standard operating procedure for their deckhands, Feadship seeks to establish a unified approach to material maintenance for all Feadship crews. By promoting a universal set of guidelines, recommendations, and instructions, Feadship Academy believes it can make a significant contribution to preserving the quality and value of the entire Feadship fleet over time. While a typical crewmember may not specialize in a single area, they must be proficient in a wide range of tasks. Their ability to properly sand, caulk, and tape, for example, plays a vital role in the longevity of the yacht. These skills, which require minimal investment to learn, can save substantial costs in the long run.

Feadship Academy facilitates a two-way exchange of knowledge—crews learn from experts about the materials used and how to maintain them, while experts benefit from the crews’ invaluable hands-on experience. As experts in onboard operations, the crews’ practical insights are crucial to the Academy’s approach. Currently, the Academy’s workshops are offered on-site exclusively to crews during new builds and refits. However, there are plans to expand the scope of these workshops and ultimately provide access to crews via the dedicated operational platform, My Feadship Assistant.

The next step is to notify your Feadship Service Coordinator about the courses you and your crew want to take, to become even more valuable to your Feadship.
