The Feadship Certificate of Authenticity is a comprehensive Conditions Assessment designed to help yacht owners maintain the unrivalled standard of perfection of their Feadships. It is an official seal of approval that removes any doubt about the condition and quality of their yacht.
Certification begins by assessing the yacht’s overall condition. From hull and machinery to stabilizers and propulsion systems, our specialists assess five critical yacht categories: safety; structural aspects; technical aspects & documentation; exterior; and interior. Using a specially developed application, our assessments are translated into quality grades based on the Feadship Grading Scale. Before presenting a formal report of our findings, every condition assessment is reviewed by the Authenticity Committee comprising senior Feadship specialists.
While the grading system is the same for every yacht, the Certificate of Authenticity takes into consideration the yacht’s age and overall structural integrity. Our specialists don’t differentiate between Feadship refits and those done by other yards. Our sole purpose is to determine whether a Feadship still lives up to the highest standards of the Feadship name. The Feadship Certificate of Authenticity complements the official builder’s certificate presented at launch and supplementary builder’s certificates provided post-refit at our four Dutch yards. And while it does not replace formal marine surveys, it guarantees buyers and brokers are investing in true Feadship value and assures owners that the comfort levels originally delivered are still in place.
Every inspection delivers a Certificate of Authenticity, which next to grades can include recommendations for improvements. If and when these yachts are put on the market, we openly promote them on our website’s brokerage page and in the yachting community.
