Shinkai

2022 (Launched 2021)

This is Shinkai

Designed from the outset as a true explorer, the 54.90-metre Shinkai was purpose-built to take on the most remote waters in the world, carrying a 7.2-tonne submarine and the heavy-duty crane needed to deploy it. Her design has made her a standout in the explorer yacht category, allowing her owner to push the boundaries of adventure at sea.

To ensure Shinkai remains at peak performance for her ambitious voyages, she returned to Feadship in 2022 for a refit. Feadship installed a new set of stabilizers to enhance comfort in challenging conditions. A dedicated dive store was also added, reflecting her owner's passion for underwater exploration. The yacht’s hull received an extra layer of anti-fouling and PropSpeed coating to optimize efficiency and protect against marine growth. With these refinements, Shinkai is more capable than ever, ready to continue her mission of global exploration.
