Feadship’s yard in Makkum was opened in 2005 in a location used for shipbuilding since the early 1900s. Capitalising on the rich experience and passion of the De Vries family developed at the Aalsmeer yard, the facilities in Makkum offer has a superb infrastructure for creating large Feadships.
In addition to excellent access to deep water, the two giant halls have dry docks of 110 and 120 metres respectively. The yard’s highly skilled craftsmen work simultaneously on the refit and maintenance of Feadships on the shop floor and the complete restorations of classics.
De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum is just a one hour’s drive from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport or a 20-minute helicopter ride.
