Sakura. The Japanese name for ‘cherry blossom’, the 71.75-metre Sakura represents a noble new generation of Feadships that combines uncompromised luxury, technology, engineering and propulsion. It is also the only Feadship currently in our shipyard without an owner.

Scheduled for delivery in May 2025, Sakura represents the rare opportunity for an aspiring owner to leapfrog the wait list.

The hull, design and interior are complete, but the majority of build milestones remain. Sakura is an unprecedented opportunity for those who want a contemporary Feadship without the long wait or being bogged down by the many – and timely – details of creating a Feadship.

LIKE CHERRY BLOSSOMS, BEAUTY AND TRANSIENCE ARE PART OF A LUXURY YACHT’S APPEAL. YOU LAY ANCHOR FOR A SHORT TIME, THEN QUICKLY SAIL AWAY.

A 72-metre Feadship with 100-metre amenities

We set out to build a yacht that captures the intimacy of a 71.75-metre yacht with the functionality and spaciousness of a 100-metre superyacht. When designing Sakura, we were inspired by the power cherry blossoms have in bringing people together each year for celebrations and viewing parties. Sakura is thus a yacht of conviviality and togetherness, balancing gorgeous spaces for interaction, entertainment and family time with sophisticated rooms for individual reflection and retreat.

Sakura is unique for a yacht of its size to have a dedicated owner’s deck with wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling glass windows for panoramic views. This sanctuary of personal space is a private oasis, situated a deck above the heart of the yacht.

Sun deck

Inspired by organic forms and the subtle nature of cherry blossoms themselves, Sakura has everything a contemporary yacht needs except outspoken ostentation. it is a noble yacht whose low bulwark seems to float above the water.

A private family sanctuary

It is rare for a yacht of this size to have a dedicated owner’s deck, especially one as secluded and far removed from the communal spaces as Sakura’s is. Sakura’s family-only deck was made possible by raising the pilothouse, creating space not only for a grand master stateroom with wrap-around, floor-to- ceiling glass windows, but also side deck access to a private breakfast nook and hot tub. A sky lounge can serve as a media room for family movie nights or al fresco dining. The owner’s deck features every conceivable comfort found on a 100-metre superyacht.

East meets West: Scandinavian warmth, Japanese minimalism

Designed by Italian studio FM Architettura d’Interni, Sakura’s interior draws on the Japandi style with its combination of Scandinavian warmth and Japanese minimalism. Not unlike cherry blossoms themselves, the interior eloquently merges this sophisticated East-meets-West design movement by blending form and function, complementing Sakura’s clean exterior lines with light colours and bright spaces. Feadship has previously collaborated with FM Architettura d’Interni on the 88-metre Zen and the 55-metre Somnium. Few designers are able to so seamlessly fuse interior and exterior with extraordinary craftsmanship and attention to detail.

A sleek state-of-the-art yacht

With its graceful lines, low bulwark and perfect balance from bow to stern, Sakura exudes a distinctive poise and calmness. From the extended sundeck forward to swim deck aft, Sakura uniquely combines grand interior design with spacious decks for multi-generational activities and outdoor play. Floor-to- ceiling glass delivers gorgeous and spacious rooms for owners and guests alike, spread across five levels. In both size and attitude, Sakura is a social yacht whose state-of-the-art diesel-electric propulsion system elevates it to one of the most future-forward yachts on the planet.

An intimate space accessible to everyone

Purposely situated beneath the main deck aft, Sakura’s wellness space is easily accessible to everyone on board and just steps from the swim platform. At the touch of a button, the teak stadium steps open up to a wellness space, which can also be accessed via the main staircase and engine room corridor. According to owner preference, this space can also be converted into a gym, steam room, sauna or massage room. Its location adjacent the swim platform also makes it ideal for a dive store. The remaining areas of the lower deck are dedicated to crew quarters, hotel services with extra cold and dry stores and the diesel-electric engine, which is a design feature all its own.

The heart of interaction

The most important communal space on new generation Feadships is not the sun deck but the main deck aft. Sakura perfectly represents this new mindset. True to the nature of the cherry blossoms that inspired it, Sakura is specifically designed to invite nature inside and allow owners and guests to fully experience the world around them. To bring the outside in, the yacht takes full advantage of Feadship’s industry-leading expertise in glass construction. The main deck is surrounded by full- height glass windows for incredible natural light. Sliding glass doors open seamlessly – no steps or sills – onto the open aft deck and the 7-metre swimming pool with flanking sun loungers. Beyond, teak stadium steps lead down to the large swim platform that contributes to Sakura’s signature look.

Feadship
advantages

Quality
Feadship is universally recognised as the benchmark for all other yacht builders. Owners and guests enjoy flawlessly installed systems and furnishings, and the fact that everything works first time, all the time. The final product is better due to superior materials and equipment, excellent engineering and workmanship, and a perfect interior and exterior finish. We expect to exceed expectations.

Low running costs
Feadships have the least downtime and repairs compared to other superyachts as their systems are over specified and extremely reliable. They also attract the best crew who relish the chance to work on the smoothest operators in the business.

Investment in pleasure
The resale values of Feadships are historically higher than any other brand. There is always demand for pre-owned Feadships and they sell faster.
