Feadship reveals 49.50-metre Project 717
Feadship has revealed the exterior of the 49.50-metre Project 717 as she emerged from the construction hall for the first time. The new build features carefully balanced exterior lines that emphasise length and volume without compromising proportion.
According to Jan Schaffers, Senior Designer at Studio De Voogt, the design team extended the exterior lines as far as possible without allowing the project to feel stretched. Widened shoulders along the sides of the sun deck play a key role in achieving this balance, while the main deck was conceived to create a strong beach atmosphere. When the fold down bulwarks are open, the deck space and uninterrupted views are comparable to those of a vessel nearly twice this size.
Project 717 offers an expansive main deck aft with fold down bulwarks and a glass fronted Jacuzzi, a large sun deck with flybridge and secondary helm station, and a foredeck arranged for relaxed outdoor living. The interior, designed by Marty Lowe, Inc. in close cooperation with the owner and the yard, accommodates ten guests across five staterooms, including a full beam owner’s suite with panoramic views, private study and dressing area.
The project is equipped with propulsion technology developed through the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive programme, combining efficiency, manoeuvrability and onboard comfort.
Earlier this year, Feadship announced the successful resale of Project 717 through its Resale division. She will now undergo final preparations ahead of transport to the North Sea, where sea trials will take place prior to her delivery in the coming spring.
