Feadship has been recognised with multiple awards at the BOAT Design and Innovation Awards 2026, presented during the Superyacht Design Festival in Kitzbühel. With honours across exterior design, interior design, naval architecture and sustainability, Feadship projects featured prominently among this year’s winners, led by a standout performance from Breakthrough.

The 100-metre Pi received the award for Outstanding Exterior Design Motor Yachts 70 metres and above. The judges praised the yacht’s calm and cohesive exterior, noting how the glazing of the superstructure follows the curvature of the bulwarks to create a balanced and elegant profile. Designed by Jarkko Jämsén of Aivan, Pi was commended for retaining a human scale despite her increased length, with a restrained beam and narrow angle bow contributing to both visual harmony and efficient performance. The jury also highlighted the full height windows, achieved by relocating systems to a central core.

In the Best Interior Design Motor Yachts 1000 GT and above category, 118.80-metre Breakthrough secured the top award. The judges recognised an interior shaped closely around the owners’ way of living, resulting in a highly considered layout with separate circulation for guests, crew and owners. Amenities such as the underwater Nemo lounge, cinema and library were singled out, alongside the depth of detailing throughout. The interior by RWD was praised for its refined material palette and the subtle progression of tones from deck to deck.

Breakthrough was also named winner of Best Naval Architecture Displacement Motor Yachts. Developed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, the project was recognised for the way its substantial volume is balanced with stability and performance, while integrating complex features including the underwater Nemo lounge, sliding balconies and large hull openings. Although based on a classic displacement hull form, the judges noted that the yacht’s technical execution sets her apart.

In addition, Breakthrough received the Eco and Innovation Award, with the jury describing her propulsion concept as truly groundbreaking. As the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell yacht, Breakthrough represents a significant step forward in the application of alternative fuels in yachting. The hybrid propulsion system enables zero emission operation when running on hydrogen, particularly during the hotel load phase, which accounts for the majority of annual energy use.

The jury also awarded 79.50-metre Valor a Judges’ Commendation for interior design excellence. The judges highlighted the yacht’s staircase as a defining feature and praised the rich use of textures and materials by Bannenberg and Rowell Design, noting that the interior remains coherent and inviting throughout.

Together, these awards underline Feadship’s continued focus on design integrity, engineering depth and long term innovation across every discipline.
