In 1951, Feadship was commissioned to build two ''Sport Fisherman" for fishing enthusiast in the United States. The first one, Linda Anne was built from steel and the second, Jo-Ed in mahogany. Length of both yachts was approx. 13.35m (ca. 44 ft). The design was by H.W. de Voogt in cooperation with the American designer G.S. Tremaine. Both yachts had two Chrysler M 28 engines each of 165 hp. In February and March 1952 the building of both yachts started in Aalsmeer and during the trials Linda Anne reached 40km per hour and Jo-Ed, the wooden sport fisherman reached 52km per hour. In September both Sport Fisherman were shipped to the United States. G.S. Tremaine inspected Jo-Ed at a yard in Philadelphia and noted down the following comment: 'The craftsmanship is very good and the finishing is excellent. The quality is much better than that of the average American yard.'
