About Jennifer D

Hull number 674 (15.50 m) was commissioned by mr. Davison and launched in the spring of 1965. Launch name: Jennifer D. (D from Davison?)

At that time, hull number 673 (17.80 m) was under construction for a customer. Unfortunately, this customer died before the boat was ready.

When this boat was completed it was launched in late 1965 without baptisms. The yacht was given the temporary name “Yolande” and was used as a showboat for the London Boat show early January 1966. (From 1962 C. van Lent & sons exhibited at the London Boat Show).

This showboat therefore had no owner yet. Usually at the boat show was displayed a boat that had already been sold but this time this was not the case. Mr. Davison, the owner of the Jennifer D, (now Lady Holland), was so fond of this showboat that he decided to buy this bigger “Yolande”. The boat was officially launched again in the spring of 1966 and was now renamed Jennifer D. (the 2nd one). His one-year-old boat, Hull nr. 674, was sold in the spring of 1966 and was then renamed Lady Holland.
