The 9.75-metre Express Cruiser built by former Feadship member Witsen & Vis was one of three vessels transported to American in 1951 for Feadship’s inaugural exhibition at the Motor Boat Show in New York (the other two yachts were Baby Holland, a cruiser, and Pampus, an open day sailer. Upon return Mr Vis and Mr De Voogt reported, “Both the press and trade were in accord that, as far as finishing was concerned, our boats were of a far higher standard than anything else on display. Our presentation was judged to be highly impressive overall and Feadship gained a good name immediately.”
