About Azteca

A number of yachts, notably Impetuous in 1977, and Azteca and Paraiso four years on, boasted an all-aluminum hull construction. As the owners' primary consideration was speed, aluminum was chosen because of its lighter properties, and Feadship was able to respond to this latest requirement. As well as being lighter, aluminum's intrinsic flexibility in terms of shaping and molding resulted in it eventually being used for the superstructures of all Feadships.
