When launched in 1979 as Daria, this (at the time) 48-metre masterwork rewrote the quality standards for the entire luxury yacht industry. As well as pioneering the use of satcom, she showcased a previously unimagined level of luxury. We share this with you to illustrate that Mirage (her new name since being superbly refitted in 2009 and extended by four metres) has an unrivalled pedigree. In fact, for many years no-one but her original Middle Eastern owners was ever allowed onboard, never mind having the chance to charter. Nowadays, many pleasures await onboard Mirage, which can accommodate twelve guests in eight deluxe guest rooms, pampered by up to thirteen crew members.
Mirage’s elegant country house allure extends to all areas of the yacht, from the inviting lounges to the formal dining area. She also offers a generous deck plan, with an al fresco dining option and cocktail seating, ideal for enjoying a sun downer at the high gloss wet bar. The sun deck is roomy and a drop-down projector screen creates an outdoor movie theatre under the stars. Mirage also has a large swim platform and ample water toys, with a refreshing rain shower adding to the well thought-out space.
