About Shalimar II

The 44.81m Westlake, launched in 1966, was the first Feadship to have a fully raised wheelhouse. Feadship actually felt that wheelhouses were acceptable on yachts over 35m (114') in length. This point was reinforced after the success of Big R, at 45m, and Shalimar, at 38.35m, launched in 1973 and 1974 respectively.
